Case Material on Inter-Cultural Communication

Illustrative case material on inter-cultural communication from different regions of the world will be collected and form part of a semi-open database. The material will be used for in-service courses for firms, organisations and institutions dealing with cultural diversity among their staff or in their outreach.

E-learning Programme

Based on empirical case-examples of concrete situations of failure and of success, an interactive e-learning programme will be produced. The case material will be collected from anthropological fieldwork carried out by the project researchers and interviews conducted among different categories of peoples:

  • Researchers specialised in inter-cultural communication
  • Researchers with practical work experiences from consultancy or other kinds of jobs
  • The staff of firms, institutions and organisations who through their work has experiences of situations with cross-cultural communication
  • Customers and clientele of the above firms, organisations and institutions.
